An organic solar cell is an electricity generating device comprised of thin layers of conductors, and photoelectrically active organic compounds. This section was based on lectures presented by Jean Luc Bredas at Georgia Tech in 2007.
There are quite serious issues regarding the energy needs. We are using an increasing number of joules and we need the proper resources to provide the energy needs. Organic photovoltaics are an import aspect. We will look at the major processes in solar cells and overview of the organic solar solar cell.
